Hogs reach the summit

Hogs reach the summit, 25km up and 25km back!

Where is Karl Richard?

19 03 2009
can you spot him?

can you spot him?

Karl Richard, rookie Hog rider, pioneer of 2 Knob Hill and part time accountant has been noticeably absent from rides of late.
A quick Google and it appears the internet is rife with rumours on Mr Richard’s whereabouts.

“Richards’ spotted high altitude training in Kathmandu” – CyclingNews.com
“Karl kranks up the kilometres in secret altitude training camp” – Mountain Bike Magazine
“Karl Richards wows accounting world at annual SARS seminar in Polokwane” – Sars.gov.za

A close Hog insider revealed a little bit more:
“I used to ride quite a bit with Karl, we were actually the first Hogs to ride 2 Knob Hill and it was of course named in our honour… yes Karl and I plan to race the Mfula this year, I can only hope wherever he is, he gets some good training in cos I am getting strong!”

Whatever rumour you believe, there is no denying that the Hogs rides are certainly duller without Karl Richard, there are less wipeouts for a start!

Giba Heaven

Giba Heaven

Ok boys, for those doing the Hogs Sani Challenge at the end of the month:

Sani Training Session, Giba Gorge, Saturday 5:30am.

Wayne has agreed to take us up and out of Giba, into Shongweni, down some great river valleys and back via cucumber farm then onto vomit hill and a few other surprises thrown in for good measure!

We are looking at lots of climbing and some technical single track for good measure.

All followed by a good breakfast at 9am and then WAGs ride.

No excuses Dac!

This guy is incredible…
