At last, race season is about to begin!
In just under a month (Sat, 14 Feb) we have the Spar Wartburg Classic (45km). This is apparently a great race with some amazing vistas, also if any of the Wags are keen there is a 25km route which I am sure Sarah and Annabelle will do. Full details to follow soon.
Let’s get some training in Hogs, need to alternate these Giba sessions with a bit of distance (50km+) to ensure the legs have the gas on race day, and if you havent sorted out your EMBA permit yet you are rubbish… get it done!
Get your diaries out, lots of races from March onwards, Cumberland, Karkloof, Juicy Lucy to name a few, also seriously consider the 2009 Dusi Mfula stage race, this is an awesome experience.
Hogmaster is back in SA on Saturday, a few pounds heavier and with cracked ribs but this will not keep me out the saddle, will definitely be riding Sunday… albeit slowly!
